The card inside a manicure case which has the name Miss Edgoose stamped in gold on the leather. It is dated 11 May 1889.
"With the Mayor and Mayoress love.
They regret that Miss Edgoose has not a real Lady's Companion but request her to accept the accompanying as slight substitute.
Sheffield 11 May 1889."
