Caroline BUTCHER and Sealy IRELAND were married at Martock, Somerset, on 4 February 1866. She was a 22 year old spinster from Martock, daughter of Joseph BUTCHER, labourer. Sealy IRELAND was a 21 year old unmarried labourer from Martock, son of John Ireland, labourer. Witnesses were Harry VIRGIN and Thomas HOOPER.

"CREWKERNE, COUNTY COURT, MONDAY
Simon CLARK v. Sealy IRELAND, labourer, Martock. - This was a judgement summons. An order was made in August last year for £1 16 6d at 4s a month. Only 4s has been paid. Defendant said he had been out of employ several months, but he had now got work, and would promise to pay 2s a month regularly. His Honour made an order for 4s to be paid in a fortnight, and 2s a month afterwards."
