  RODNEY WEST 1943-1910 After reading English at Leeds University, at the age of 24 Rodney became manager of the Old Vic in Bristol and worked there until 1989. After spending three months in America on an Arts Council bursary studying fund-raising and sponsorship, he joined London Arts Discovery. There he used his vast knowledge of the theatre, opera and the arts to plan visits to all parts of the UK and Europe. He died in London in 2010 aged 67. (Notes from his cousin Halina West, 2014)
