  JOHN RUDING William RUDING had a son John RUDING, of Ardbury, co. Warwick, who married Joice, daughter of Thomas PUREFOY of Fenny Drayton, co. Leicester. (The Gentleman's Magazine, and Historical Chronicle, Volume 66 Part 1, page 218) John RUDING's second son Richard RUDING, who was buried in St. Mary's, Leicester, in 1582, is said to have married Anne, daughter of John DRIVER of Limehouse, near London from whom the present family is lineally descended. (ibid) There may be some confusion here.
