Out of court on 26 October 1757:
There was a transfer from Richard MILLARD of Yateley wheelwright to Joseph MILES, kinsman, of land called Marlands in Yateley.
There was a transfer from Richard MILLARD of Yateley, wheelwright, to Richard MILES, nephew, of a messuage, garden, orchard and 10 acres in Yateley.
There was a transfer from Richard MILLARD of Yateley wheelwright to "Mary MILES, daughter of my sister Elizabeth MILES" of land called Monsam adjoining Monsam Green in Yateley (now called Moulsham Green).
Out of court on 27 November 1758:
Richard MILES of Yateley Yeoman acquired Catchets and also bought other property about this time.

The Will of Joseph MILES [surnames in capitals]:
"In the Name of God Amen I Joseph MILES of Yateley in the County of SouthTon Husbandman being in good Health and of a sound and disposing Mind Memory and understanding Thanks be to Almighty God therefore do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)
First I will that all my Debts and Funeral Expenses be paid and discharged as soon as conveniently may be after my Decease
And then I give and bequeath unto my dear and loving wife Elizabeth all my Household Goods and Furniture of what nature or kind soever in or about the Dwelling House wherein I now dwell in Yateley afores.d also all my Plate Linnen [sic] China and Fuelling To Hold to her as her own proper Goods and Chattels for ever
I also give and bequeath unto my dear and loving Wife Elizabeth and her Assigns for and during the term of her natural Life the Interest and Increase of all my ready Money Moneys at Interest and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever to be freeely had received taken and enjoyed by her for and during the Term of her natural Life as aforesaid without the Interruption of any Person whatsoever and from and immediately after her Decease I give and bequeath unto my Son Richard MILES the Sum of twenty pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain
Item I also give and bequeath after the Decease of my said Wife unto my daughter Mary MILES the Sum of one hundred pounds of like lawful Money
Item I also give and bequeath after the Decease of my said Wife unto my Daughter Elizabeth the Wife of William HEWITT the Sum of five pounds of like lawful Money
Item I also give and bequeath after the Decease of my said Wife unto my Son Joseph MILES ten shillings of like lawful money
All which said Pecuniary Legacies my will is shall go and be paid by my Executor Richard MILES out of my said Personal Estate within twelve Kalendar (sic) Months next after the Decease of my said Wife
And in case any or either of my said Children Richard Mary Elizabeth and Joseph shall happen to dye before
his her or their respective Legacy or Legacies becomes due and payable and shall leave one or more Child
or Children of their respective Body or Bodies begotten living Then my Will is that the Legacy or Legacies of
such of my said Child or Children so Dying as aforesaid shall go and be paid to the Child or Children of him
her or them so dying as afores.d at the time hereinbefore mentioned for the payment thereof
But in case either of my said Sons and Daughters shall dye before his her or their Legacy becomes due and payable as aforesaid and shall leave no Child or Children living Then my Will is that the Legacy or Legacies of him her or them so dying without Issue as aforesaid shall go and be paid to the Survivor or Survivors of all my said Children to be equally divided between them Share and Share alike
Item I also give and bequeath after the Decease of my said Wife as aforesaid unto my Son in Law William HEWITT the ninety Pounds Principal Money and all Interest due and owing therefore from him on Bond
I also give and bequeath after the Decease of my said Wife as aforesaid unto my daughter Hannah the wife of Thomas CHITTY and her Assigns for and during the term of her natural Life one Annuity or yearly Sum of five Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid to her by my said Son Richard MILES out of my said Personal Estate by two equal half yearly payments the first payment thereof to begin and be made on that Day six Kalendar Months next after my Wife's Decease
And in case my said Daughter Hannah shall at the time of her Decease leave a Child or Children of her Body lawfully begotten living Then I give and bequeath unto such Child or Children as my said daughter Hannah shall leave if living the Sum o o of one hundred pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid to such Child or Children within twelve Kalendar [sic] Months next after the Decease of my said Wife and Daughter But in case my said Daughter Hannah shall dye and leave no Child or Children of her Body lawfully begotten Then I give and bequeath after the Decease of the survivor of my said Wife or Daughter Hannah the said Sum of one hundred pounds before me given and bequeathed to the Child or Children of my said Daughter Hannah if she left any unto and amongst all other of my said Children as shall be living at the time of the Decease of the Survivor of my said Wife or Daughter Hannah CHITTY to be equally divided between them Share and Share alike
All the rest residue and remainder of my personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever or of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto my son Richard MILES
And Lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Wife Elizabeth and my said Son Richard MILES joint Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking and making void all former and other Wills by me heretofore made
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the twenty ninth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty six - The Mark of X Joseph MILES - Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Joseph MILES the Testator to be his last Will and Testament in the Presence of us who subscribed our Naymes as Witnesses hereto in his Presence - John SEARLE (?) - Richd BISHOP junr.
This Will was proved at London the twenty sixth Day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven before the Right Worship -ay [illegible] Doctor of Laws Master Keeper [?] or Commissary of of the Prerogative Coutny of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Elizabeth MILES Widow the Relict and Richard MILES the Son of the Deceased and Executors named in the said will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased they having been first sworn by Commission Duly to admininster.
