      Jane, daughter of Wm BICKNALL and Jane, was baptised at Seale, Surrey, on 7 July 1745.

      Jane Miles died on 3 February 1818 and was buried at Aldershot, Hampshire, on 6 February 1818 aged 72.

      The Will of Jane MILES:
      This is the Last Will and Testament of me Jane MILES of the Parish of Aldershot in the County of Southampton Widow whereby I dispose of such
      Temporal Estate as I am blessed withal in manner following (that is to say)
      I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Robert MILES a Feather Bed Bolster Pillows Bedstead and Red Bed Furniture thereto Belonging to be delivered to him within ten days next after my decease
      Also I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Hannah the Wife of William FAGGETTER two Feather Beds with the Bolster Pillows Bedstead and blue and white Checked Furniture in which she usually lies also a Beaufit or Corner Cupboard in the parlour with the China and other things therein and also an Alarum in my Bed Room and a Tea table and Corner Cupboard in my said Daughters Bed room to be respectively delivered to her within ten days next after my Decease

      I Give and Bequeath unto my Grandson Joseph MILES son of my son JOSEPH a Feather Bed Bolster Pillow and the Bedstead without hangings in which
      he usually lies to be delivered to him my said Grandson within the like period
      Also I Give and Bequeath the Term and Interest I may have to come in any Farm and Lands I may occupy at the time of my Decease but not the Property thereon unto my Son Robert MILES and Daughter Hannah the wife of William FAGGETTER their Executors and Administrators as Tenants in Common and not as Joint Tenants
      Also I Give and Bequeath All the Stock of Wine Beer and other Liquors whatsoever which I may have in & about my house and premises at the time of my Decease unto my Sons and Daughters Joseph MILES Richard MILES William MILES Robert MILES Elizabeth the wife of Thomas KNOWLES and Hannah the wife of William FAGGETTER to be equally divided between my said Sons and Daughters by my Executors hereinafter appointed and delivered to them respectively within ten days next after my Decease
      And all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattels Rights Credits ready Money Securities for Money Growing Crops Stock Cattle Effects and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresover and of what nature or quality soever I Give and Bequeateath unto my said Son Joseph MILES and my Friend James PAINE of the Parish of Ash in the County of Surrey Yeoman their Executors and Administrators In Trust as soon as conveniently may be after my Decease as to all my Personal Estate except readdy M Money and Securities for Money and Growing Crops and when and as such Growing Crops shall come to maturity absolutely to sell and dispose of the same and every part thereof respectively by Public Auction as to them shall seem most proper And thhe Money arising and to arise by such Sale or Sales and which shall otherwise come to their hands by virtue of this my Will after paying and discharging thereout my Funeral and Testamentary Expenses and all my just Debts to pay and apply unto and equally
      between my said Sons and Daughters Joseph MILES Richard MILES William MILES Robert MILES Elizabeth the wife of Thomas KNOWLES and Hannah the wife of William FAGGETTER their respective Executors and Administrators share and share alike and I Give and Bequeath the same accordingly
      And I Declare the reason I have not made any bequest in favor of my Daughter Jane by this my Will to be that I consider her to have been properly
      provided by my late Father William BICKNELL Deceased
      And I constitute and appoint the said Joseph MILES my Son and James PAINE Executors of this my last Will and Testament
      And I declare and direct that it shall and may be lawful for my said Trustees and Executors to retain to and reimburse themselves and himself respectively all Costs Charges and Expenses which they shall be put to or sustain in the execution of the Trusts hereby in them reposed And that neither of them shall be answerable or accountable for the neglect or default of the other of them or either of them for any loss that may happen without wilful and apparent neglect or default
      In Witness whereof I the said Jane MILES the Testatrix have hereunder set my hand and Seal the fourth day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine:
