He emigrated to Australia, arriving on the Scirocco as a 19 year old labourer on 28 January 1864. He became a blacksmith and married Jemima SMITH at Big Ben Creek near Gundagai at the house of Jemima's father. John PASSLOW died on 23 January 1907 and is buried in South Gundagai Cemetery. His wife died on 23 November 1938 and was buried in Campbelltown Cemetery.
