      Eliza Ann HOLMES died aged 57 at 4 St. Vincent Avenue, Doncaster, Yorkshire, on 13 March 1915. She was described as the wife of James HOLMES, District Secretary, National Union of Railway Servants. Cause of death was cancer of the uterus, exhaustion and heart failure. The informant was her husband who was present when she died.

      She was buried in Doncaster Hyde Park Cemetery. There is a magnificent gravestone
      on which the names of her sons Charles and Harry are also inscribed.
