NOTES & QUERIES:
Barry HILL of Worle Western-super-Mare wrote in 2002:
"I am fairly confident that the TSC material enclosed refers to Robert HOLBORN the son of James and Ann [née] JOHNSON. Although his baptism is recorded on 7th August 1814, census records are consistent with a d.o.b of c1811. Ann's d.o.b varies on the census records, but she is consistently shown as a few years older than Robert.
Robert married Angelina NEAL (born Tottenhill, Nfk) 4th September 1835 at TCS entry 268, witnesses: James HOLBORN & Hannah SMITH. Robert was an agricultural labourer and they lived at Marsh Field, Terrington.
My mother was born in a cottage on Terrington Marsh in 1907. She, together with my grandparents and great grandparents attended the Methodist Chapel and one set have a gravestone there. One of my great-grandparents was a Methodist lay preacher and I have the family Bible containing a number of entries. For me, it is these connections which make family history come alive."
