He was living at 44 Waterworks Street, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, in 1891: SAMUEL CLAYTON, head, aged 40, engineer fitter, born at Bradford, Yorkshire; LOUISA CLAYTON, wife, aged 40, born at Marston, Lincolnshire; CLARA A. CLAYTON, daughter, aged 11, scholar, born at Bradford; JAMES CLAYTON, son, aged 6, scholar, born at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire; LUKE LAMMING, boarder, aged 58, married, engineer fitter, born at Bradford. (RG12/2635/36/22) The death of a 15 year old JAMES CLAYTON was registered in 1900 (FreeBMD June 1900 Bradford Y 9b 48).
