      Robert Preston TICKLER married Christiana LOWTHER in 1840.

      From the 1841 census (taken on 6 June) of the Market Place, Kirton-in-Lindsey, Lincolnshire:
      Robert TICKLER, aged 25, chemist &c, born in Lincolnshire;
      *Christiana TICKLER, aged 20, born in Lincolnshire;
      Ann TICKLER, aged 20, teacher of music, born in Lincolnshire;
      Ann HOPPER, aged 25, female servant.

      Christiana TICKLER died at Swineshead, Lincolnshire, on 24 February 1847.

      Her death certificate states that she had had pulmonary consumption for two years. The informant was Hannah Dorothy HANN, present at the death.

      From Issue 39 of the Lincoln Rutland & Stamford Mercury 1847:
      "At Swineshead, on the 24th ult., of pulmonary consumption, in her 28th year, Christiana wife of Mr. R. P. TICKLER, chemist, &c, and only surviving child of the late Mr. John LOWTHER, of H.M. Customs, Hull."

      She was buried at Swineshead on 27 February aged 27.
