      Information from Claire WANDLESS : William WANDLESS, a 26 year old bachelor and coal miner of 6 Dene Street, Shotton Colliery, County Durham, and son of coal miner George WANDLESS married Eleanor STUBBS at Easington Register Office on 23 September 1905. Eleanor STUBBS was a 19 year old spinster of Blue House, Haswell Moor, daughter of night watchman John STUBBS. Witnesses were John WANDLESS and Dora STUBBS, Eleanor's younger sister.

      Eleanor WANDLESS died in 1906 shortly after giving birth to Gladys and was buried at St. Saviour, Shotton, County Durham, on 20 November aged 21 [sic].

      Her death aged 22 [sic] was registered in 1906.
