  LEONARD HUBBARD 1914- The birth of Leonard HUBBARD was registered in 1914. He was born on 15 October 1914. (GRO December Q 1914 [EDGOOSE] Wisbech 03B 875) (Divorce Petition) Len married Elise [sic] and had one adopted daughter Jennifer. They moved to the Birmingham area. (GRO June Q 1938 Birmingham 6d 465) An Elsie Allan DEAKIN was born in 1909. (GRO March Q 1909 Barton I. 8c 642) Leonard and his brother Harold were in the Royal Navy during World War II. Apparently they lied about their ages in order to enlist - to get away from their mother Carrie's second husband.
