Notes
v
MARY EDGOOSE Between 1723 - 1730-
It is likely that Mary EDGOOSE was a child of the John EDGOOSE and Sarah BENNETT who had married at Gosberton, Lincolnshire, on 2 April 1723 and who lived at Weston St. Mary, Lincolnshire, from 1733 until their deaths in 1749. The evidence, of course, is purely circumstantial.
William AKERILL married Mary EDGOOSE at Weston St. Mary, Lincolnshire, on 10 May 1745.
Her husband, labourer, married man and housekeeper, was buried at Weston St. Mary on 10 August 1746 at the age of 35.
A Mary AKRILL (MB has ACRILL), widow, of Weston married John READ of Weston at Fleet, Lincolnshire, by licence on 7 November 1746.

NOTES & QUERIES:
The ancestry of this Mary EDGOOSE is unproven. There are two or three other possibilities:
1) She may have been the daughter of John and Mary (sic) EDGOOSE who was baptised at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 26 February 1715/16. (NB this Mary EDGOOSE is believed to be synonymous with the Elizabeth EDGOOSE in (2) below.)
2) She may have been the daughter of John and Elizabeth (sic) EDGOOSE who married at Kirton-in-Holland, Lincolnshire, on 17 April 1711. In his will made on 6 April 1720 Thomas EDGOOSE of Pinchbeck, husbandman, refers to John, Mary, and Rachell EDGOOSE, the children of his brother John EDGOOSE. His brother John EDGOOSE was living and, of the children, John was under 21 and Mary and Rachell were under 17.
(LCC Wills 1720 i)
3) She may have been the daughter of John and Mary EDGOOSE who was baptised at Spalding, Lincolnshire, on 5 October 1726. John EDGOOSE had married Mary JINKINGS at Tydd St. Mary, Lincolnshire, on 9 June 1724.
When and where was Mary AKERILL or READ buried?
