      John ROBINSON married Elizabeth EDGOOSE at Pinchbeck on 20 July 1637.

      John ROBINSON of Norgate, Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, was buried at Pinchbeck on 6 February 1682/83.

      The Will of John ROBINSON (LCC Will 1682 ii 437)
      "In the name of God amen I John ROBINSON sen. of Pinchbeck in the Countye of Lincolne yeoman sick in body but of perfect memorie [words illegible] god doe make and ordeine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following
      Imp(rimi)s I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God trusting to be saved by the alone merits of Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer, and my bodie to be buried at the discrtion (sic) of mine Executor hereafter named, and that worldly estate that it hath please God to blesse me with I dispose as follweth (sic)
      Imp(rimi)s I give to Elizabeth my wife halfe my household stuffe [illegible words] to be equally devided betwift her and mine Executor hereafter named at the discretion of my brother Robt ROBINSON and Wlm PROCTOR or either of them.
      It(e)m I give unto Elizabeth my said wife the summe of twenty pounds
      It(e)m I give unto Elizabeth my daughter the wife of Joseph BURTON the summe of ten shillings.
      It(e)m I give unto John NEWTON the summe of five poundsto be paid him when he shall attaine the age of twenty fowre yeares, p(ro)vided always that if the said John NEWTON depart this life before the said age of twenty fowre yeares then my will and mind is that the legacie aforesaid shall remaine to mine Executor
      All the rest of my goods and Chatells not heretofore bequeathed I give them wholy to John (ROBINSON) my son whome I make sole Executor of this my last will & testam(en)t to receave my debts & pay my rents debts and legacies & give my bodie decently & Cristian to be buried in witnes hereof I have sette my hand and seale this twenty fowrth day of Januarie in the yeare of our Ld 1682 (signed) John ROBINSON

      NOTES & QUERIES:
      The John ROBINSON Senior who was buried in 1683 had married Elizabeth EDGOOSE at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 20 July 1637.
      In his will made on 24 January 1682 [or 1682/1683] his wife Elizabeth was living and he makes a small bequest to his daughter Elizabeth, the wife of Joseph BURTON.
      He refers to his brother Robt ROBINSON, and to his own son John ROBINSON [Junior] whom he makes sole executor of his last will.
      Witnesses were Robt. ROBINSON (his brother? See above) and Richard ROBINSON.

      In his own will (Lincoln Consistory Court Will 1695+6 ii 341) the John ROBINSON Junior refered to above mentions his sister Elizabeth the wife of his kinsman Mr. Joseph BURTON of Surfleet, Lincolnshire.

      On 24 October 1701 Sarah, daughter of John ROBINSON butcher, was buried at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire.

      On 14 March 1707 [or 1707/1708], Robart ROBINSON, son of John ROBINSON butcher and Mary, was baptised at Pinchbeck.

      On 19 April 1710, John ROBINSON butcher was buried at Pinchbeck.

      On 10 June 1716 Elizabeth, base daughter of Widow ROBINSON butcher, was baptised at Pinchbeck.
