ALCE HAMMERTON 1622-1622

NOTES & QUERIES:
Is there some confusion in the register of Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, between the name HAMERS or HAMMERS and HAMERTON or HAMMERTON?

Nicholas HAMMERTON and Isabell YBTON or EBTON were married at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 8 July 1614.
(FreeReg)
Isabell, the wife of Nicolas HAMER, was buried at Pinchbeck on 15 December 1622. Alce , daughter of Nicolas HAMERS, was baptised at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 14 December 1622 and an Alce HAMER was buried on 15 December 1622. [Nicholas HAMMERS did not marry until 1623]. Are Isabell and Alce HAMER or HAMERS really Isabel and Alce HAMMERTON?

Thomas, son of Nicholas HAMERS, was baptised at Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on 11 April 1624. The baptism of a Thomas HAMMERTON, has not been found in the Pinchbeck register between 1620 and 1641 when the will of his father shows him to have been under 21 years old. Is this Thomas HAMERS really Thomas HAMMERTON?
